 Abstract:  Cantor Maurice Handel was an active cantor in the United States for more than 35 years. He officiated at Jewish congregations in Los Angeles, New York and St. Paul. The collection contains 5,000 hand-written manuscripts of liturgical music which he had collected over the course of 60 years and donated to the Philip and Sarah Belz School of Jewish Music at Yeshiva University in 1989.

 Abstract:  Digital collection of materials documenting the life and activities of Leon Charney, a lawyer, author, businessman and philanthropist who hosted a public affairs program on cable television for more than 20 years. Charney also served as an advisor to various government leaders, and as an expert in Middle East affairs, was called upon to function as a backdoor liaison during the negotiations between Israel and Egypt leading to the 1979 Peace Treaty signed by the two countries.
